point A to point B project
In this project I felt like I really started to understand the 6-shot system. Because I was using it in actual film, I started to figure out how wide a wide shot was, and how close a close-up shot. I pretty much had a good idea of what I wanted to do, so it didn't take long to come up with an idea. In the beginning of the editing process, I still hadn't really figured out adobe premier yet. When we got to the music the website our class uses for sounds had crashed. To compensate for this, we had to use sounds already downloaded by our peers. Our previous project had a shorter time requirement, so all the tracks were too short for our new project. I had to watch a huge compilation of youtube editing videos to find a simple way to extend the audio. It turned out sounding pretty good, especially since it was my first time. I was very proud(:
For our project we went outside, so that took a while. We had to ask our teacher, and jump through lots of hoops to get the outdoor footage. We got to pick our partners, so there was little conflict between us. If we did a project like this again, I would make more effort to make the story clear.
